Book Description:

The established neighborhoods of Hingham make up a seashore community that has retained much of its historic charm. The Old Derby Academy, Old Ordinary Tavern, and the Old Ship Meetinghouse church are all local treasures. A trip down Main Street affords extraordinary views of fine Victorian homes and Colonial farmhouses. Hingham was also home to the U.S. armed forces buildup during World Wars I and II. This Colonial settlement truly remains a celebrated all-American town.

Author Bio: James Pierotti, a graduate of Babson College and the owner of the Cinnamon Bear Cafe in Hingham Square, is a member of the Hingham Historical Society and the Friends of Downtown Historic Hingham. His preservation work with the Massachusetts Historic Commission secured the listing for Bentís Cookie Factory, owned by his family, on the National Register of Historic Places. Hingham resident Scott Wahle is a news coanchor on CBS4 in Boston.
