FEATURED PARTNERS
Arcadia Publishing has partnered with Google Book Search to give site visitors a limited preview of all of our titles. Clicking on the Google Preview on a book page will give users a limited preview of a title - but they can only access a limited number of pages (20%) to determine whether they've found what they're looking for. All participating books are hosted on Google servers and protected by the same security as Google.com's search data. To further protect book content, printing and image copying functions are disabled on all Google Book Search pages.

Every day, hundreds of millions of people go to Google.com to search for information about everything from the history of the Boy Scouts to the uses of saffron - and in an age of information overload, books can be difficult to find online. Often, people need to know the title, author, or some other clue to track down a book they'd like to buy. Google Book Search is an effort to help change that. Partnering with the Google Books Search program makes it possible for anyone searching for information on Google.com to easily discover and purchase Arcadia books. Arcadia Publishing customers can also take advantage of the Google Book Search function by searching inside the book while shopping at arcadiapublishing.com. Close FAQ
As a Google Book Search Partner, Arcadia books are submitted to Google who indexes each book's content. When words and phrases are searched via Google Books, Google's indexed books appear in the search results. Books also appear when users search on Google.com when books have information relevant to their query. Prospective customers can browse up to 20% of a book as a preview, similar to scanning through the pages of a book in a bookstore. If they like what they see, they can follow the purchasing links to buy the book - either directly from arcadiapublishing.com or through other popular online retailers. Close FAQ
People get a taste of our books - but only a taste. Google digitizes the full text of our books so that when people search online, they can see whether it contains information they're interested in. But they can see only a limited portion - 20% - of any given book each month. To further protect our books, printing and image copying functions are disabled on all Google Books pages. All Arcadia books with the Google Book Search Feature are hosted on Google servers and protected by the same security as Google.com's data. Close FAQ
Even the best books can fail to sell if they don't reach their target audience. By marketing Arcadia books through Google, we have another tool to help readers find and preview our books online. By working with Google Book Search, we aim to connect history lovers and potential readers to the world of Arcadia Publishing's local and regional history books. Close FAQ
