Author
Bonnie Warren is a freelance writer and public relations specialist for Brennan’s Restaurant and Houma House Plantation, to only mention some. She was the editor of New Orleans Magazine and the founding editor of New Orleans Homes and Lifestyles. Warren was City Editor for Better Homes and Gardens and Metropolitan Home magazines for more than two decates and a former food critic for Gambit. Her contributions are included in publications such as Playboy, National Enquirer, InStyle, Woman’s Day, Redbook and Architectural Digest. As a public relations specialist she has worked for Arthur Q. David, New Orleans Tourism Marketing Corporation Royal Street Guild, Hotel Monteleone, Harrah’s New Orleans Casino, and Houma House, and several festivals and academies in addition to many others. For several years, Warren taught a course called “Writing For Publication” at the evening division of Loyola University. She won several New Orleans Press Club Awards—one of them for Best Sports Column--, New Orleans Tourism Champion, and the St. Elizabeth Oustanding Activist for Voluteer word. For her Tourism Champion she was honored by New Orleans Convention and Visitors Bureau at the Tourism Week Banquet for her outstanding work. Warren is a board member of St. Elizabeth’s Guild, NOMA Women’s Committee, and the President of the New Orleans Art Association. Warren lives in New Orleans where she enjoys writing about travel, food, architecture and design. She has published two other books with Pelican Publishing: New Orleans Historic Homes and New Orleans Homes at Christmas. .
