WESTWOOD - The “Images of America: Westwood” has just been reprinted for the Westwood Historical Society. The author, Maureen Taylor, has autographed the books which are now for sale at Decor and More on High Street. They also have the Westwood Historical Society’s seal. Maureen is also doing a lecture at the Westwood Library on April 29th where the books will be for sale and where Maureen will personalize the autograph if you wish.
The Westwood Historical Society worked with Taylor to produce a Westwood issue of the “Images of America” series by Arcadia Publishing. The goal of the publisher is to produce a book for every town in America; or, if the town is small, then publish a regional issue. The Westwood photo-history is popular for residents’ own reading or for gift giving, especially for the upcoming Mother’s Day holiday. Arcadia has published books on most of Westwood’s neighboring towns.
Taylor was recently featured in the Wall Street Journal on October 12th, 2007 for her work as a ‘photo detective’. The Journal writes, “With millions of Americans obsessively tracing their roots, Ms. Taylor has emerged as the nation’s foremost historial photo detective.” What a recommendation to buy her book featuring Westwood!
