"Williamsburg: A City That History Made" (Arcadia Publishing, $24.99), written by Timothy E. Morgan, was released Dec. 18. The book, part of the "Making of America" series, is available through online booksellers and at area bookstores. It includes a general history of the city, anecdotes and stories about the town and its residents, information on its role in three wars and photos before its restoration.

Morgan has taught history at Christopher Newport University for more than 30 years and works as historian for an archaeological firm. He is a member of the Virginia Historical Society, the Society for the History of the Early American Republic and the American Historical Society.
