Historically the location of great wealth but also great poverty, Goose Creek has always attracted all kinds of individuals. From the early Goose Creek Men to the national attention received by Gertrude Legendre and Medway Plantation, Goose Creek has claimed a spot in the minds of people across the world. Since officially incorporating as a city in 1961, Goose Creek has grown by leaps and bounds and shows no signs of stopping.
