In addition to Death in North Carolina's Piedmont for The History Press, Frances Casstevens has written several books on Yadkin County history. She received her Master's in History from UNC-Greensboro and her interests include genealogy, history, and Civil War re-enactments. She also runs the Yadkin County Country Store and is retired from her position as Research Assistant for the Bowman Gray School of Medicine at Wake Forest University.
