As a 40 year resident of the Taylor Street community, I can vouch for the historic accuracy of the Taylor Street book. This accuracy derives from an author, Kathy Catrambone, calling Little Italy home. It is regrettable that many of the original Italian families left Little Italy as the UIC displaced their homes and companies and expressway construction forced additional family exits. But 'Taylor Street, Chicago's Little Italy' captures their interesting history and the contribution the early Italians made to our city.
