It began its independence as Madison Township, a name it retained until the 1970s, when it was changed to Old Bridge. Morris County's Acorn Hall

Acorn Hall has always been a home. In 1852, Dr. John Schermerhorn conceived the sprawling estate and mansion, and he spent four years decorating it in a lavish Rococo style.
