The book was a disappointment as it was not able to offer a comprehensive history of the Church in the City of Nee York which would be a massive undertaking. The photos and accompanying text seemed rather scatter shot, possibly because of the enormity of the undertaking. Perhaps dividing the subject matter into smaller chunks: the Catholic Church in Manhattan; The Catholic Church in Brooklyn; the Catholic Church in Staten Island would work better?
