July Content Ideas
With each new month, you're tasked with creating fresh, new content to promote your book. And it is incredibly challenging to constantly have to come up with new engaging ideas.
To help, we have created some content ideas you can post for July.
Plan to post 2x per week on the platforms of your choosing.
Week 1:
- Talk about where you are in the book process (are you marketing, are you still writing, have you confirmed a cover image?). Write about (or film yourself talking about) the various challenges this stage presents.
- Choose an image from your book and discuss it.
Week 2:
- Does your book have any revolutionary war tie ins? Discuss how your town/book celebrates American history.
- Discuss how you celebrated the fourth of July this year (with photos!)
Week 3:
- Write about any unique things your town does in the summer for recreation or tourism (maybe with a video or picture of you participating).
- If you have any photos from bygone eras of summer recreation, share those and discuss how the times have changed (or stayed the same!)
Week 4:
- Post this to promote reader engagement: Ask what your audience did to celebrate Independence day growing up
- August preview: what's upcoming in August that you're looking forward to? (book signings, book release, gatherings, etc)
Hopefully this helps alleviate some of the social media anxiety and challenges you're facing as an author.
